In the Cebu city, the largest mall is SM mall. It is in 20 minutes distance from Ayala mall by taxi. The inside is so spacious so if it is your first visit to here, you may be lost but people are friendly so you can ask them or guards. A guard who is the same sex checks your belongings at the entrance. Usually, There are guards in most of mall and they are doing security check to make sure that you have no gun because Having a gun is legal if you have a firearm licence.
There are a theater including (3D and 4D), many coffee shops, clothes shops and electronic products store so on.... It has most of things that people need. This is the most popular and largest mall in addition to Ayala mall. There are other malls but the size of that is smaller then these two malls and the location is out of the middle of this city so if you wanna go to others, you had rather go with local people or a guide.
If you wanna look around a traditional market, There is the popular one, the name ' Colon' and 'carbon'. Colon and carbon are close to each other. Both of two has many street vendors but colon mainly consists of some malls and electronic products stores such as Elisabeth mall and Metro mall, and carbon has small stores selling vegetables and animals so on.
These areas are undeveloped enough in Cebu city and they actually not safety area especially for a traveler so When you go there, you always need to be careful of a pickpocket or robbery. I recommend you that you go there with guide or a local filipino friend.
